Note 1 |
Hawkeye Rigid Borescopes can be made to operate up to 300 deg. C on a custom Basis. Contact us for more details. |
Note 2 |
These scopes were not designed to operate below 0º. However, several of our customers have successfully used the scopes in liquid Nitrogen at 77 deg. K. |
Pressure |
All Hawkeye borescopes were designed for use at ambient pressure. However, we have several customers who have successfully used Hawkeye Borescopes at pressures up to 500 PSI and down to 10-6 Torr. As the scopes were not specifically designed for this, the operator does so at their own risk. |
Chemical Resistance |
All Hawkeye Rigid borescope tubes are water tight and are resistant to most hydrocarbons; oils, gasoline, hydraulic fluid, jet fuel, etc. (This excludes the eyepiece). Exposure to Acids and strong Alkalis should be avoided as it will attack the optical window. |
